Paladin Capital Group – a multi-stage investment firm focused on cybersecurity – announced the successful realization of its investment in PhishMe, the industry leader in human-enabled cyber defense solutions, to a syndicate of investors led by BlackRock and Pamplona Capital Management. With a deal valuing PhishMe at around $400 million, the exit represents the largest in the field of human-enabled cyber defense.
Karamba Security, a provider of cybersecurity solutions for connected and autonomous vehicles, today announced $12 million in Series B funding, bringing total investment in the company to $17 million, 15 months after closing a seed round in March 2016. The funding was driven by investors’ excitement over customer engagements, resulting from Karamba’s unique automotive cyberprevention technology. The investment will be used to expand customer support, sales and R&D organizations so that it can meet the rapidly growing demand.

Expel, Inc., a new cyber security company founded by prominent industry veterans, announced it closed $7.5 million in Series A funding from experienced security investors. The financing was led by Paladin Capital Group, with participation from New Enterprise Associates, Battery Ventures, Greycroft Partners, Lightbank, and other strategic and individual investors. Expel is founded by senior executives previously at FireEye and Mandiant.
