Our History
Founded in 2001, Paladin Capital Group was one of the first investors to recognize the need for coordination between international private and public sectors to support technologies with a security-by-design mindset.
Paladin was established by Michael Steed and Mark Maloney, who had worked together for years completing more than 75 successful investments in companies, co-investments, and funds for Ullico. While at Ullico they were responsible for managing an $8 billion portfolio in sectors such as technology, defense, telecommunications, e-commerce, and real estate.
In its early years, Paladin invested across sectors including security, telecommunications, life sciences, structured finance, and alternative energy. Since 2008, Paladin has developed a deeper focus on cyber, AI and advanced technologies, which has thrust the firm into the forefront of cyber investing.
