About

Brenda Chia is Chief of Capital Development at Paladin Capital Group, a premier venture and growth-stage investor in cybersecurity, AI, and emerging technologies. A member of the firm’s Management Team since 2012, she drives capital formation and cultivates high-impact relationships with institutional investors, investment platforms, and leading family offices worldwide, spanning deal sourcing, co-investments, and exits.

Prior to Paladin, Brenda built an international career developing and executing strategy, marketing, and operational initiatives for global financial services firms. She held senior roles at The Boston Consulting Group and Accenture across Singapore, London, Wellington (New Zealand), and Boston.

A tireless advocate for diversity in investing, Brenda has testified before Congress on expanding participation by women- and minority-owned funds in the investment industry. She serves as Board Co-Chair of the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM), a national platform that convenes institutional capital and Asian American investors across asset classes to conduct business and build alliances. As its founding President since 2007, she has guided AAAIM to national prominence, setting its strategic vision, leading fundraising, and growing its network to more than 8,000 asset owners and managers.

Brenda was named a 2022 Women to Watch in Private Equity by the Wall Street Journal.

Brenda’s has roots in Singapore. She holds a BS from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Bahasa Indonesia.
