Award recognizes outstanding achievements of women who are industry leaders
WASHINGTON, October 5, 2022 — Brenda Chia, Paladin Capital Group’s Chief of Capital Development, has been named to Wall Street Journal Pro Private Equity’s 2022 Women to Watch list. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of women in limited partner fundraising and dealmaking roles.
Brenda led the raise of Paladin’s $372M Cyber Fund II— Paladin’s largest fund to date, which closed in May 2022. Brenda focuses on raising capital and broadening Paladin’s multi-faceted investor base by developing relationships for raising funds and co-investments. Paladin is a leading venture and growth stage investor in cyber security technologies.
One of Brenda’s career highlights has been advocating for opportunities for women and minority investors. She serves as the Board Co-Chair of The Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM), which convenes institutional capital and qualified Asian-American investors across asset classes to conduct business and build alliances. She has testified before Congress and the SEC on improving participation of women/minority-owned funds in the investment industry.
