Turngate is a seed stage company based in Ellicott City, Maryland, launched by Bruce Potter. Bruce is well known to Paladin while he served as an early employee and CISO of Expel from March 2017 to August 2021 as the company scaled from pre-operations to $40M ARR.

Bruce’s vision with Turngate is to solve one of the significant remaining pain points in security operations and incident response that he has experienced as a CISO during his career.

The premise of Turngate is that nearly all security incidents involve users and yet the process of investigating and understanding what actually occurred is painful and time consuming, because there is no good user-centric solution that unifies user activity data across hundreds of siloed repositories in the way that MDRs unify alert data from cyber security point products.

Turngate’s mission is to build a robust data model and apply data science to provide answers to incident investigations in seconds or minutes, which currently take hours or days.
