There is increasing awareness amongst application security teams and security champions of the need for ‘shifting left’ in the software development lifecycle to address the costs and inefficiencies associated with fixing security design flaws. Given that an estimated 50% of software security vulnerabilities are flaws in the design, addressing the problem at this stage is the most logical point at which to deploy automated software tools.
IriusRisk is building the software tools needed to secure software by design, automating the threat modelling process in application security and integrating within the existing workflow of the software development lifecycle.
